I recently watched The Greatest Showman with my wife.  It was the first time I’ve completely unplugged and just enjoyed a movie in a long time.  It’s rare that my wife and I have the luxury of watching a movie together, so I took full advantage of the moment.

In regards to this movie, there are a few things I tend to really enjoy:

  1. Hugh Jackman movies (The Prestige, Les Miserables).
  2. Movies that are (loosely) based on true events.
  3. Movies that get hounded by critics, but loved by audiences (RottenTomatoes).

It is safe to say I had high hopes and expectations for The Greatest Showman.  It is also safe to say it did not disappoint.

Let me start by sharing this powerful quote:

“The noblest art is that of making others happy.” - P.T. Barnum Click To Tweet

What I really loved though, was the takeaways for relationships, business and life in general.  The movie is inspiring, and the phenomenal soundtrack takes the emotional power to another level.  Check it out.

Some key takeaways I enjoyed:

Choose your love, and love your choice. Don't let anything interfere with that. Click To Tweet Staying down guarantees a certain result. Getting up provides the opportunity to attain a much higher result. Click To Tweet You have the power within you to dream, and then go put in the work to make your dream your reality. Click To Tweet

If you are late to the party like I was (it was released in December 2017), go check out The Greatest Showman for yourself.
